ピナレロ FP5 / Pinarello FP5

買いました。ピナレロのFP5。いいカラーリングしてますね。乗った感じですが純正シートが硬い。やっぱシートは替えないと。雑誌に書いているようなインプレッションは出来ないので、詳細は書店にて。

Bought the Pinarello FP5, brilliant designe and colour, the saddle is rather hard, so it will be changed.

デントレックス 歯間洗浄機 / Dentrex

デントレックス使っています。水で歯間洗浄をする機械なんですが、ジェット水流で歯垢やカスをしっかりと落としてくれます。雑誌で歯磨きした跡なのに食べ物のカスがごっそり出てきたとか書いていましたが、私の場合はそんなにゴッソリとは出てきませんでした。そんなにごっそり出て来たら歯磨きの意味が無いですよね。それはさておき、歯間のカスも取れ歯茎も刺激されていい感じです。ただ、水流を一番強くしたら痛くて使えません。説明書にも書いていますが、初めて使う時は水流の強さは一番弱いのから始めましょう。

Using the Dentrex, an interdental washing machine, this stuff makes “jet water” and washing my interdental by a thin nozzle. This is not a just interdental washing machine but also irritates gum and keeping its good conditions. Just minor note that the jet water adjustment dial should be lowest when using the Dentrex at the first time otherwise you will be sore.

米Acabion社のGTBO。最高時速340マイル(約547km)。欧州で183万ユーロ(約2億9,400万円)にて発売予定。エンジンは1300ccのターボ搭載ガソリンエンジンで馬力は750馬力。1300ccで750馬力ってすごいですね。リッター当たり576馬力です。車体重量は700ポンド(約320kg)でスタートから30秒以内で時速300マイル(約480km)まで加速可能。更にすごいのがギアレシオ。ローギア(1速)で時速100マイル(約 160km)まで加速し、時速260マイル(約420km)の時点でも、まだ2速のギアを残す余裕のスピード感だそうで。さらに、電気モーターとのハイブリッド走行性能も備え、市中の走行では電気のみでOK。かなり良さげな雰囲気ですが、事故ったら一発であの世行きな雰囲気も兼ね備えてます。

The GTBO, made by Acabion, is the world's fastest vehicle. It has a top speed 340 mph (547 kmh). The price is 1,830,000 EUR. The GTBO has a 1.4 litre engine (79.3 cu.in.) with a turbocharger, which generate 750 bhp (559.5 kW). This is really amazing, it's 576 bhp (429 kW) per litre! The weight is only 317 kg (700 pound), the GTBO is achievable a speed of 480 kmh (300 mph) within 30 sec. I'm surprised the GTBO's gear ratio, it's achievable a speed 160 kmh (100 mph) by a bottom gear, and it runs at a speed of 420 kmh (260 mph) in a 2nd gear with it s margin. An electronic power source is also equipped, there is no need to use the engine for running in a city. It's greatfull design, but I guess a driver will be instantly passed away when the GTBO faces an accident.

世界で一番早い車知ってますか？こいつです。公式記録時速414.3Km/hの市販車最速記録をもつシェルビー スーパーカーズ社のアルティメット エアロ。V8 6.35Lエンジンにツインターボで1183馬力。トルクは驚愕の151kgfm。ちなみに、ターボブーストは可変式です。妙なのはガソリンです。オクタン価が91を想定しているそうで、日本のハイオクは98から100ほどですから、ハイオクに合わせたCPUにするともっとパワーが出るかも。

こちらはケーニッグセグのCCXR.メーカー曰く『兄貴分のCCXの環境に優しいバージョン』だそうです。エタノール燃料が使えるからのようですが、しかしエンジンはCCXよりパワフルです。1018馬力でトルク108kgfm。最高速度はCCXで395km/hですのでCCXRそれ以上ですか。

The world's highest price (USD 2 million over in Japan) car with, perhaps, the world's crazy designed engine: 1,001 PS (987 hp/736 kW) W16 engine with 4 turbochargers!!!! it is able to achieve an average top speed of 408.47 km/h (253.81 mph). There is no clutch, so limited driving lisense (AT cars only) holders are very much welcome.

インヴィジブル・シールド / Invisible Shield

グーグル特許検索の最中にこんなブログを見つけました。ネットにはいろんな情報が溢れているものですね。そこから見つけた不思議なフィルム。1000ポンド (約454kg) の重りを載せても破れません。YouTubeのコメントを見ると、このフィルムを何に使うべきかというコメントがでています。

Found an interesting blog, only in Japanese but nice one. In the blog, I was impressed with amazing plastic sheet, it doesn't burst even over 1000lb (454kg) weight putting on. The comments in YouTube suggest what the plastic sheet is supposed to be used.

江戸本手打ち 純銀毛抜き いろは / Tweezers Made of Sterling Silver

毛抜きですがただの毛抜きでありません。江戸本手打ち・純銀・いろはと申します。『1000分の5mmのうぶ毛を抜き取るその性能』という謳い文句ですが、私は実際にそんな毛は気にならないので抜いたことはありません。しかし一度掴んだ毛を離したり切ったりした事はありません。だからなんだという話かもしれませんが、こんなモノもある、という事で。

This is a pair of tweezers made in sterling silver "Edo Honteuchi Iroha". Complete handmade by an artisan in Tokyo. A delivery agency announces that the tweezers are able to remove 0.005mm thickness fluff. I don't have an interest in such micro fluff, so I haven't experienced, but anyhow the tweezers never cut or release whiskers. Guess no one is of interest to the mention above but I just want to post...

チョッパー自転車 / Chopper Bike

なんだこりゃ？こんなの買うんだったらバイク買えよと・・・、というのが第一印象。しかし、これが流行ってるらしいんですね、本国アメリカでは大流行。そのうち日本でも一時のビーチクルーザーのように皆乗りだして、流行らなくなるとどっかいっちゃうんだろうか。欲しい方の為に。上の赤はシュインのスティングレイ20、下のはスティングレイ　スポイラーです。

Suppose the chopper bike will be same as the beach cruiser in Japan, means after the trend has been passed, the chopper bike will be passed away too...

日産GT-R デビューウィン / New Nissan GT-R on GT500

新型GT-RがGT500デビュー戦でいきなりのワンツーフィニッシュ。既に予選でトップ3を独占していたので完全優勝です。決勝は1位と2位のGT-Rの差は1秒以内ですが、3位のレクサスには25秒以上の差とまさに圧倒的な優勝ですね。

Nissan made GT-R debut in Japan Super GT championship, class GT500. GT-R got the top 3 lap time in the first heat, then in the final, completed a one-two finish of the Super GT first match. Made a lead of 25 sec upon a 3rd finished Toyota Lexus, GT-R swept away all of other cars.

ロボット掃除機 / Robotic Vacuum Cleaner

ロボット掃除機欲しいです。フローリングだとホコリが目立って掃除してるんですが、毎日やっても減るわけもなく。仕事に行っている間に掃除を掛けてくれるロボット掃除機は最高ですよね。これさえあればもうクイックルワイパーとはおさらばかも。という訳でこれ。

I'd like to buy a robotic vacuum cleaner. There are a lot of dust on the wooden floor in my room even I sweep them almost everyday. It's a brilliant thing if someone wipes dust during I'm out of my room.

うーん・・・。デカイ。どう考えてもソファーの下には入れそうにないようで。実はこれはナショナルが2002年初頭に発表したロボット掃除機です。記者発表当時は取締役自ら大々的に発表したようですが予想価格が1台数百万円とは。人を雇った方が安いですよナショナルさん。ちなみにナショナルのHPを見ると掃除機のラインナップにお掃除ロボットなどありません。開発断念したんですかね。それはさておき、実際に購入を検討するとしたらこの2台になろうかと思います。

Bloody fat cleaner... it's impossible to crawl under couch. Actually, this chubby boy was presented by Panasonic in 2002. The press release said that the cleaner would be priced about a few (maybe more) million Japanese Yen (USD around 10-30, 40... thousand). Seems employing a maid is cheaper... I couldn't find any robotic vacuum cleaner in Panasonic web pages, guess they gave up to develop the cleaner...


iRobotのルンバです。写真は５３０で国内価格79,800円。価格は高いですが性能的もなかなかです。充電器から離れて掃除を自動で行い、充電器へ帰れる余力を残しておいて、自分で戻ってきて充電します。バーチャルウォールを設置して掃除範囲を任意に決めれます。目地に詰まったホコリやビー玉は取れないようです。530などの５００シリーズは赤外線を内蔵しており、障害物を認識して歩き回るようです。

Roomba made by iRobot. I think Rommba models are most famous ones in Japan. It's high priced but performance is well. Roomba will return to a homebase (also a charger) automatically when a battery is nearly empty, Roomba will never get across virtual walls, which would be put by an owner optionally. Roomba cannot wipe dust plugged in a joint or marbles for example. Roomba is equipped an infrared sensor to detect obstacles, turn to, and back to the homebase.

こちらはトリロバイト。スウェーデン最大の家電機器メーカーエレクトロラックス社の製品です。以前は東芝が輸入・販売していたようですが、現在は既に中止しており正規ルートでは購入困難なようです。Google Product Search ではeBayで1,800ドル。Amazon.co.ukでは799.5ポンドといずれも16万円以上の価格です。ちなみに、国内では東芝から22万以上で売られていました。

肝心の性能ですが現時点ではこれが最強でしょう。ルンバに比べて、広い部屋でもすばやく掃除。ネットによれば、１３畳以上の広い部屋などでは掃除に掛かる時間がルンバに比べて10倍以上早いという結果が出ています。消耗品の入手が国内では困難なのが難点ですね。東芝さん、なんとか輸入再開してもらえませんか。

This is Trilobite made by Electrolux who is the biggest electric products manufacturer in Sweeden. Toshiba imported and sold Trolibite sometime ago in Japan, but now it's no longer available. I now found Trolibite in eBay and Amazon.co.uk and there are priced over USD1,600 - 1,800. Toshiba sold it USD 2,200...

The performance of Trilobite seems fantastic, guess the best robotic cleaner at the present. Faster and cleaner rather than Roomba, particularly cleaning for a big room (25-30 m2 even more), Trilobite is over 10 times faster than Roomba to clean the room. But now it's quite difficult to acquire Trilobite and its consumable goods, I want to ask Toshiba to re-import the fantastic robotic cleaner Trilobite....

バリゴ 気圧・温度・湿度計 / Barigo Cylinder Weather Dome Station

ドイツ・バリゴ社の気圧・温度・湿度計です。同じドイツはウエラ社の湿度・温度計・気圧計がついている目覚まし時計を持っていますが、近くにおいても数値が一致した事が無いので、どっちを信用するかは微妙ですが、しかしインテリアとしては十分です。家ではこの湿度計を見て加湿器のスイッチを入れるか否かを決めてます。

A weather station with a difference by German company Barigo. Readings are in hPa/mbar and °C. I have a table clock included thermometer / hygrometer / barometer made by German company Wehrle, but I haven't ever seen the indicated values from the weather station and the clock are matched... Anyway... iit's not big deal, the weather station is fairly enough as upholstery, and to make a decision if I should use humidifier.

ロードバイク / Road bike

自転車買おうと思ってます。昔乗っていたのはパナソニック・クロモリフレームにシマノ・アルテグラでした。今は、ハイエンドでフルカーボン、それ以外はアルミにカーボンの組合せが多いようです。カタログを取り寄せていろいろ調べたところ、昔は手の届かなかった舶来フレームに格好良いフレームがありました。コルナゴやピナレロなどは今全盛のスローピングフレームもありますが、クラシックスタイル、もしくはそれに近いフレームデザインを用いてます。ルックのフレームは機能的にもデザイン的にもすばらしいですが、やっぱりスローピングは好きになれません。しかし、こう見ると世の中のロードレーサーはスローピングフレーム占有率9割9分ですね。折角高い買い物するのなら、機能も大事ですが自分が好きなデザインが一番。という事でピナレロに絞ってみます。

I'm buying a road bike. Before I had a road bike made by Panasonic, steel tube frame and Shimano Ultegra. At the present, it seems that carbon fibre materials are used for Hi-end models, and for others, Aluminum with carbon materials for example are used. I personally like the "Classic design" means a frame has a horizontal top tube, but the "Sloping design" is major one in the road bike flame market. Even such trend in, several brands are still providing classic design flames i.e. Colnago, Pinarello, and more... It's not cheap deal, this is why I want to have a lovely designed bike rather than good functional ones.

第一候補。ピナレロのプリンスです。かつて1998年のツール・ド・フランスでヤン・ウルリッヒに供給したカーボンバックで鮮烈にデビューしたピナレロの旗艦がフルカーボンで戻ってきました。東レのトレカ50HM1Kは自転車業界ではピナレロのみの独占供給のようです。ボリューム感のあるフレームなのに重量は900g台。完成車で6kg台とヒルクライムバイクかのような軽さです。フレーム価格は610,000円。カンパのレコード完成車は100万以上します。

Prince, a flagship product of Pinarello which was provided for Jan Ullrich in Tour de France 1998, returns with a full carbon fibre flame and Onda fork. The Carbon fibre material 50HM1K is supplied by Toray, and for only Pinarello. Rather big tubes are using, particularly for down tube, but its weight is 900g+. A price is about USD6,000 for only frame, Campagnolo Record assembled model is over USD9,800.

プリンスはちょっと高いので、事実上の狙い目はこのFP5 Carbon 30HM12Kでしょうか。シマノ・アルテグラSLもしくはカンパ・ヴェローチェ完成車価格で365,400円。ピナレロのフレームはペイントが本当に綺麗です。イタリア人のセンスかな。

Prince is rather expensive... the FP5 is practically to be bought. The FP5 with Shimano Ultegra SL or Campagnolo Veloce is tagged at USD3,600. Not only the FP5 but Pinarello's bikes have beautiful painting, good Italian sensibilities...

でも、お金があったらこれが欲しいです。モンテロ FM1モノコック。値段はフレームのみで945,000円。TTバイクは華があって、見てるだけでも良いですね。

However, if I have enough ready money to spend for a bike, I want to get this one: Montello FM1 Toraｙca 50HM1K monocoque. A price is USD 9,300 frame only. It's a brilliant design...

ウォーターマン・セレニテブルー。セレニテシリーズの最新作です。先週末、丸の内の某書店で実物見ましたが、ショーケースの光加減か否か、いい色してました。写真よりもっと発色が良く物欲をそそります。お値段は定価126,000円でした。

Serenite Blue, the latest model of Serenite series from Waterman. I saw the Serenite Blue at a store adjacent to Tokyo railway station, blue colour came well more than the picture, I want to buy it... The price was JPY 126,000 (USD 1,170)

セレニテグレイもあります。こちらはもう少しお高く157,500円。値段の差はなんでしょうか。ボディーの材質が違うんでしょうか。

This is Serenite Gray, the price was rather higher than the Blue, JPY 157,500 (USD 1,470). Perhaps body materials are different from the Blue.

で、たまにでてくる蒔絵シリーズ。セレニテ蒔絵　限定『日の出鶴』　262,500円。全世界限定１２５本（国内限定３０本）だそうです。こちらは、私の趣味じゃないですね。

Then, this is a Serenite Makie (Gold/Silver lacquer) series, Serenite Makie, limited "Hinodezuru", priced JPY262,500 (USD 2,450). A limited number 125 pens in the world, in Japan 30 pens only. It's nice but not my glass of Sake.

I love Somes who is a Japanese harness and also leather stuffs manufacturer. My favorite leather goods i.e. bags, belts, card case, notepad, etc. are almost made by Somes. Somes is the oply one harness and saddle maker in Japan, JRA (Japan Racing Association) jockeys use Somes’ saddles. Somes also produces high quality but affordable leather goods, like the above mentioned.


という事で、ソメスのシステム手帳です。ブライドルレザーにクラウゼ社製30mmのリング手帳です。普通のバイブルサイズシステム手帳に比べて相当大きいです。革の厚みも普通の手帳とは一線を画していますね。もう4年くらい使っていますが、角の割れやすい部分なども一切変化なし。作りが良くて、きちんと手入れをすると革製品は本当に長持ちするので良いです。

This is a personal organizer made by Somes, using bridle leather and 30mm diameter ring made by Krause. The organizer size is rather big than other brands’ ones, as well as thickness of the bridle leather is. I’ve been using the organizer around 4 years, but there is no crack and or break, even at the breakable corners. Maintenance is regularly required, but if I fully take care of leather goods, I can use the leather goods long time, this is why, I like leather goods.


ちなみに、使ってるリフィルはフランクリン・コヴィー社製のフランクリン・プランナーで、英語版のリフィル"コーナーストーン　1日1ページ"を使用しています。国内では入手出来ませんので、米国のフランクリン・コービーのウェブサイトより直接購入しました。ちなみに、フランクリン・コヴィー・ジャパン社で扱っている1日1ページのリフィルは、"オリジナル"のみで昨年使用してましたが、万年筆のインクが裏に滲むのが気になってました。"コーナーストーン"は万年筆で書いても裏の滲みが少なく品質も良好です。リフィルは左側に要件を重要度と緊急度に応じてランク付けをし、右側には時間に縛られる要件を書くようになっています。以前は右側のページがすべてメモ欄になっている、見開き1ページ版を使用してましたがこれは1日1ページで1年分がちょうど収まるリフィルの厚さです。フランクリン・コビー

I’m using a Franklin Planner refill “Cornerstone 1 page / day” English version. Because the Cornerstone is unavailable in Japan, I got it thorough Franklin Covey US web site. Franklin Covey Japan deals with “Original 1 page / day”, I used it in the last year, but I experienced that fountain pen ink blotted on the back page. There is no blot on the Cornerstone refill in case of writing by a fountain pen. Daily tasks can be put on a left side column depending on priority, and fixed schedule depending on time can be put on a right side column. I used a refill “2 page / 1 day (the right page is only daily notes)” but it was rather thick. The Cornerstone yearly amount refill can be exactly set in the organizer.

コンビ エアロバイク ai / Aerobike Ai (Exercise Bike)

コンビウェルネスのエアロバイク Aiです。買った目的はずばりダイエット。恥ずかしながら私の現在の体重は82kg。ちなみに、高校生の時は62kgで50kg台のときもありました。20kgも何すれば付くんだろうか。お酒・つまみ・飲んだ後のラーメン・運動しない・歩かない・車ばっかり・・・幾らでも理由見つかります。実はこのエアロバイクは2台目で、初代のエアロバイクもやはりコンビのEZ101でした。前回購入時ゴルフに熱中していた時で、基礎体力の向上とスイングにキレを良くする為の減量を目的としていました。結果は、ゴルフの練習を毎日120球。腹筋・背筋にパター練習と毎日休みなく体を動かしていたことも相成り、約半年で86kgから76kgと10kgの減量をした訳ですが、あれから数年経ち、海外出張から帰国後に日本で美味いものばかり食べていた結果、82kgになってしまいました。という事で目標体重は高校生当時と同じく62kgとしたいところですが、とりあえず中間目標75kgとして今日からがんばりたいと思います。


This is an exercise bike “Aero Bike Ai” made by Combi Wellness. Why I’ve got the bike because I need to diet. My present weight is 82kg (180.8lb), when I was in a high school, it was 62kg, sometime it was 50 something, how can I get around the excess weight 20kg… I just bring whys to mind that a drink with appetizers, sometime it was a binge, a noodle after having a drink, no exercise, no walking but moving by a car only, etc. etc… This yellow bike is second bike to me, actually, I bought an exercise bike several years ago to diet and to make a sharp swing of golf. My weight was 86kg (189.6lb) at that time, but because of using the exercise bike plus practice in golf and developing abs and back, I lost 10kg (22lb). However, I’m now back to 80 something… I will start the diet today with the bike, a goal is 62kg but for now an interim target is 75kg (165.4lb).

ウエラ 目覚まし時計 / Wehrle Alarm Clock

ドイツ・ウエラ社の目覚まし時計です。購入したのは大分前になります。3 in 1(スリー・イン・ワン)というモデルが有名なようですが既に廃番になっており、これは温度計、湿度計、気圧計が加わった6 in １(シックス・イン・ワン) というモデルになります。

Alarm clock made by Germany clock maker Wehrle. I bought this one long time ago, a model “3 in 1” is the most famous alarm clock but it’s been no longer available. This is the newest model “6 in 1” included functions: alarm, thermometer, hygrometer, and barometer.

目覚し時計なのにベル無し。これはボディー全体がベルになっている為です。
There are no bells being on the clock because body shell itself is the bell.


所有するウエラの時計をもう一つ。革ケースに収納されたブラスボディケースのトラベルクロックです。小さいながらも、所有感は抜群ですね。

One more a clock from Wehrl, a travel clock with lather case, It's a good design and a fine time piece.

モーフィーリチャーズ マンハッタンケトル / Manhattan Kettle from Morphy Richards

海外にて5年近く暮らしてましたが、生活家電の中で『これは便利だな～』と思ったモノが結構ありました。たとえば、台所などの水回り下にビルトインされているドラム式洗濯機。日本では洗濯機と言えばお風呂やトイレの近くに洗濯機用の台があったり、ベランダだったりしますが、台所下にビルトインされてると目立たず場所も取らずスッキリします。でも、一番気に入ったのは電気ケトルです。コーヒーを飲む時、カップラーメンを食べる時などお湯を沸かす時に、水を入れてスイッチを入れると、あっという間に沸きます。特に海外は電圧200vの地域が多いので余計に早く感じます。日本では電気保温ポットが一般的ですが、お湯を使わない時は電気を消費するだけで不経済ですよね。

I had been out of Japan around 5 yeaｒｓ. During this period, I found useful electric stuffs which are not major ones in Japan, i.e. built-in front loading washing machine. A washing machine, top loading style, is usually put near a bathroom, or a veranda in Japanese houses, but a built-in type needs small space below a kitchen, and has a neat figure. I also like an electric kettle. It's an often used staff to make boiled water quickly. An electric water boiler (like this one) is popular one in Japan, but this water boiler should consume electricity during its running to keep warm, it's waste to me.

という事で、これは英国の老舗家電メーカー、モーフィーリチャーズ社製の電気ケトル、マンハッタン ケトルです。ティファールやフィリップスの電気ケトルはよく見ますけど、ここまでのデザインの物はなかなか無いですね。スイッチを入れると水のレベルゲージの部分が青く光ります。光沢のあるボディーもなかなか。

This electric kettle "Manhattan Kettle" is made by Morphy Richards from the UK. DeLonghi, Tefal, or Phillips are major brands for electric kettles but the Manhattan Kettle doesn't like such brabnds' designs. The blue LED lights a water level gauge during the kettle is running.

愛人の殺害を撮影（原文）
ロイター北京発によると、19歳の女子学生が、愛人の既婚男性の殺害および死体切断現場を撮影していたと、地元メディアが報じた。しかも、殺害したのはその女子学生のボーイフレンドだったという。雲南省南西部に住むその女子学生とそのボーイフレンドおよび共謀の男は、先月（2007年12月）の事件発生後、全員逮捕された。被害者の39歳の既婚男性は、地元の建設会社の部長だった。

報道によると、殺害され100以上にバラバラにされる被害者が撮影された。女子学生は北京の貧困家庭の出身で、被害者とはホステスとして働いていたナイトクラブ で知り合ったという。『バラバラ殺人の目的は、女子学生の被害者に対する憎しみと同時に、被害者の身元を隠す為』とローカルメディアは報じている。

BEIJING - A 19-year-old Chinese student recorded the killing and dismembering of her married lover by her boyfriend, local media said on Friday.

The second-year student in the southwestern province of Yunnan, her boyfriend and another male accomplice had all been arrested after the killing last month, the Southern Metropolis Daily said.

The victim, 39, was a married manager at a local highway and bridge building company, the newspaper said.

The girl, who was from a struggling family in the capital Beijing and met the victim as a nightclub hostess, filmed as he was killed and his body was cut into "hundreds of pieces," the newspaper said.

"The dismembering was both out of hatred and aimed at making the body unrecognisable," the report said.

デロンギ コーヒーメーカー CM336N / Delonghi Filter Coffee Maker CM336N

デロンギのコーヒーメーカー CM336Nです。通販生活で絶賛でしたので購入しました。1杯から10杯まで作れるので一人暮らしでも手に余る事はありませんし、大勢の来客にも対応できます。フィルターは金メッキしたフィルターを使用しますのでペーパーフィルターを使用しなくよく経済的なのですが、僕の場合は豆を自分で挽いて使用している為、荒めに挽いてもどうしても細挽きの粉が出ます。これがフィルターを通過してしまうので、やっぱりペーパーフィルターを設置した方が良さそうです。ちなみに、カリタの102では少し小さいようで、103くらいがちょうど良いかと思います。朝の忙しい時でも美味しいコーヒーを飲みたい時ってありますが、これならすぐ粉さえあればすぐ出来ます。経済的にも良いですね。

This is a filter coffee maker, CM336N from Delonghi. The CM336N makes 10 cups of coffee at the maximum, but also makes a cup of coffee at minimum, it’s flexible to use. No need to prepare a paper filter because a gold plated filter is available however I’m usually using a paper filter because I use a hand mill to grind coffee beans, the hand mill makes fine powder this is why. Normally I’m busy at every morning because of missed wake up, no time to go to an office, etc etc, but the CM336N makes a good taste coffee easily with quick manner, and also it’s economically good.

コーヒーミルはカリタのダイヤミルです。豆を挽くのに力はいりませんが、その分時間が掛かります。前述のように細かい粉がでますが、手挽きだとしょうがないんでしょうね。重さは3.5kgずっしり重いですが、抑える力は小さくて済みます。インテリアとしてもなかなかの存在感です。

日本ガイシC1浄水器 / C1 Water Purification System

浄水器を購入しました。日本ガイシ製の浄水器 C1 （シーワン）です。浄水器の種類は沢山ありますが、シーガルフォー等15万円以上の浄水器もあるなか、C1は6万円と価格だけで見ると中級機の値段です。しかし、肝心の浄水性能は高額浄水器に負けていません。詳しくはメーカーHPを見て欲しいのですが、水道水の味が確実に美味しくなり、氷やコーヒーも美味しくなりましたが、なにより不純物を取り除いてくれるので安心して飲めるのが良いです。また、浄水後の水でも勢い良く豊富に出るのに驚きました。ちなみに、不純物は取り除いても、ミネラルはそのまま残ります。これが美味しさの秘密かもしれません。交換用カートリッジは15,750円で大凡1年で交換です。初期投資は高価ですが、年間15,750円で美味しい水が飲めると思うと、ペットボトルで水を買うのはお金持ちのする事かな、と思います。

I got a water purification system "C1" from NGK Insulators Japan, which is priced around JPY 60,000 (USD 550). Major brands' water purification systems i.e. Seagull IY, and etc, are the price of at JPY 150,000 (USD 1,350), C1 doesn't large sum however has good performance. I know it that the tap water must be potable water at anywhere in Japan, but it's not drinkable to me, particularly in Tokyo, it's smelled and the taste doesn't suitable... Now, C1 makes the tap water drinkable, no smell and good taste, even after purified, mineral should be left. Flow is good enough. A filter, JPY 15,700 (USD 143), should be changed once per year, it means I can get good taste drinking water with such cost. Which way is expensive, buying bottles of spring water or get C1...

カリタ コーヒードリッパー / Kalita Coffee Dripper

カリタのドリッパー、ニューカントリー102です。オフィスで美味しいコーヒーを飲もうと思いこれを買いました。シャワーポットに小さな穴が開いているの で、お湯はこのポットに一気に注ぎ後は待つだけ。沸騰したお湯でも、飲む頃には適温になってます。専用の袋も付いてるのでキャンプなどにも使えそうです。 外見も良くステンレスの質感はなかなか高級です。値段の割りになかなかの作りです。ユニフレームのコーヒーバネットと迷ったのですが、これで正解か否か？ しばらく使ってみます。

This is a coffee dripper, NewCountry102, made by Kalita. Got this one for drinking nice drip coffee at an office. The stainless made body looks nice, it can be used for outdoor of course.

ボネコ 気化式加湿器 1355WH / Boneco Disc Evaporator 1355WH

この年末年始東京は非常に乾燥しており、私の住まいも御多分にもれずひどく乾燥しています。基本的に乾燥しているほうが好きなのですが、あまりに乾燥しており肌はカサカサになるし、朝起きると喉が痛くなるので、人生初めての加湿器の購入を検討しました。加湿器には様々な方式がありますが、絶対に購入したくないと思っていたのはよくあるスチーム式です。以前、あるホテルに泊まったところ、スチーム式の加湿器が備え付けされており、回したまま寝たのですが、翌朝加湿器から1.5mほど離れたところに置いた靴が中までビショビショになっていたのにびっくりした事があります。よって、選択肢は超音波式と気化式になりますが、ランニングコストが実質電気代のみとなる気化式とし、ネットや通販生活などでも評判のボネコ社・ディスクエヴァポレーター（気化式加湿器）1355WHとしました。日本ではデロンギ社の扱いとなっているようです。デロンギのホームページに詳細が載っています。

It’s a mild and very dry winter in Japan in this year. Because it was bone-dry condition in my room, I had trouble on my skin and throat, particularly at morning, this is why I got a humidifier. There are several ways to humidify a room, but I will never choose a steam humidifier, I experienced at a hotel a few years ago that there was a steam humidifier in the room, and I used the humidifier all night long. The following day morning, my shoes, which were placed near – but 1.5m far from – the humidifier, was soaked… perhaps the humidifier was a cheap one, but I don’t like it anyway. I chose a disc evaporator 1355WH made by Boneco (impeller humidifier).


写真のように、本体の中で22枚のディスクがゆっくりと回転し水槽の中を潜ります。蒸気ではなく40%~50%に加湿された空気として本体から放出される為、まわりがジメジメする事もありません。ファンの動作音ですが私は全く気にならないです。気になる方でも強弱2段階調整出来ますので、弱で運転すれば気 にならないかと思います。使い始めて最初の3~4日くらいは水の減りが少なく、本当に加湿しているのか？という感じでしたが、説明書にも書いているとおり徐々にディスクが水を捕らえやすくなるので、慣らし運転には1週間くらい掛かるようです。ネットによると、電気代はは1時間約33銭、1日中使用しても約8円との事。交換部品も実質無く水さえ補給すればいつでも使えます。なお、本体水槽とディスクは定期的な清掃が必要です。

この加湿器を使い 始めてから、特に朝起きた後に肌がカサカサしたり、喉が痛くなるという事がなくなりました。かなり効果があるようです。水の減りが結構早く、部屋が乾燥していたのだなという事を実感できます。多機能型の加湿器とは違い機能はシンプルですが使い勝手は良いですね。タイマーは付いていないのですが、水がなくなると自動でファンが止まるのも良いです。

As the above photo shows, 22 discs rotate in a water tank in the humidifier, it’s not steam, but the humidifier sends 40 - 50% humidified air. As a result it will not make soaked stuffs around at all. A fan on the humidifier isn’t noisy, and possible to adjust “strong” and “weak” by a control knob. At the very beginning, I wondered if the humidifier was working well enough because its water tank level was very slowly decreased. However, 3 - 4 days later, my room was enough humidified, as described on instructions. It’s likely that around a week is required for a break-in. It’s also easy to maintain the humidifier that fill-up the tank, and sometime just washing the desks and the tank.

The troubles on my skin and throat have been gone after using the humidifier, now water in the tank got lower rather quickly. I realized how my room was dried. A timer is not available, but the fan will stop automatically once the tank get empty.
