ソメス システム手帳 / SOMES Personal Organizer

ソメスサドルというブランドをご存知ですか？私の場合、所有する革製品、仕事鞄・ベルト・名刺入れ・ノートパッド・ボストンバッグ・キーリング・その他いろいろ、ほぼ全てがソメス製です。ソメスサドルは日本唯一の馬具製造ブランドで、著名なジョッキーがソメスサドル製の鞍を使用している事でも知られます。そのソメスが馬具作りの技術を生かして高品質かつ良心的な価格のバッグや革小物を作っているのです。

I love Somes who is a Japanese harness and also leather stuffs manufacturer. My favorite leather goods i.e. bags, belts, card case, notepad, etc. are almost made by Somes. Somes is the oply one harness and saddle maker in Japan, JRA (Japan Racing Association) jockeys use Somes’ saddles. Somes also produces high quality but affordable leather goods, like the above mentioned.


という事で、ソメスのシステム手帳です。ブライドルレザーにクラウゼ社製30mmのリング手帳です。普通のバイブルサイズシステム手帳に比べて相当大きいです。革の厚みも普通の手帳とは一線を画していますね。もう4年くらい使っていますが、角の割れやすい部分なども一切変化なし。作りが良くて、きちんと手入れをすると革製品は本当に長持ちするので良いです。

This is a personal organizer made by Somes, using bridle leather and 30mm diameter ring made by Krause. The organizer size is rather big than other brands’ ones, as well as thickness of the bridle leather is. I’ve been using the organizer around 4 years, but there is no crack and or break, even at the breakable corners. Maintenance is regularly required, but if I fully take care of leather goods, I can use the leather goods long time, this is why, I like leather goods.


ちなみに、使ってるリフィルはフランクリン・コヴィー社製のフランクリン・プランナーで、英語版のリフィル"コーナーストーン　1日1ページ"を使用しています。国内では入手出来ませんので、米国のフランクリン・コービーのウェブサイトより直接購入しました。ちなみに、フランクリン・コヴィー・ジャパン社で扱っている1日1ページのリフィルは、"オリジナル"のみで昨年使用してましたが、万年筆のインクが裏に滲むのが気になってました。"コーナーストーン"は万年筆で書いても裏の滲みが少なく品質も良好です。リフィルは左側に要件を重要度と緊急度に応じてランク付けをし、右側には時間に縛られる要件を書くようになっています。以前は右側のページがすべてメモ欄になっている、見開き1ページ版を使用してましたがこれは1日1ページで1年分がちょうど収まるリフィルの厚さです。フランクリン・コビー

I’m using a Franklin Planner refill “Cornerstone 1 page / day” English version. Because the Cornerstone is unavailable in Japan, I got it thorough Franklin Covey US web site. Franklin Covey Japan deals with “Original 1 page / day”, I used it in the last year, but I experienced that fountain pen ink blotted on the back page. There is no blot on the Cornerstone refill in case of writing by a fountain pen. Daily tasks can be put on a left side column depending on priority, and fixed schedule depending on time can be put on a right side column. I used a refill “2 page / 1 day (the right page is only daily notes)” but it was rather thick. The Cornerstone yearly amount refill can be exactly set in the organizer.

コンビ エアロバイク ai / Aerobike Ai (Exercise Bike)

コンビウェルネスのエアロバイク Aiです。買った目的はずばりダイエット。恥ずかしながら私の現在の体重は82kg。ちなみに、高校生の時は62kgで50kg台のときもありました。20kgも何すれば付くんだろうか。お酒・つまみ・飲んだ後のラーメン・運動しない・歩かない・車ばっかり・・・幾らでも理由見つかります。実はこのエアロバイクは2台目で、初代のエアロバイクもやはりコンビのEZ101でした。前回購入時ゴルフに熱中していた時で、基礎体力の向上とスイングにキレを良くする為の減量を目的としていました。結果は、ゴルフの練習を毎日120球。腹筋・背筋にパター練習と毎日休みなく体を動かしていたことも相成り、約半年で86kgから76kgと10kgの減量をした訳ですが、あれから数年経ち、海外出張から帰国後に日本で美味いものばかり食べていた結果、82kgになってしまいました。という事で目標体重は高校生当時と同じく62kgとしたいところですが、とりあえず中間目標75kgとして今日からがんばりたいと思います。


This is an exercise bike “Aero Bike Ai” made by Combi Wellness. Why I’ve got the bike because I need to diet. My present weight is 82kg (180.8lb), when I was in a high school, it was 62kg, sometime it was 50 something, how can I get around the excess weight 20kg… I just bring whys to mind that a drink with appetizers, sometime it was a binge, a noodle after having a drink, no exercise, no walking but moving by a car only, etc. etc… This yellow bike is second bike to me, actually, I bought an exercise bike several years ago to diet and to make a sharp swing of golf. My weight was 86kg (189.6lb) at that time, but because of using the exercise bike plus practice in golf and developing abs and back, I lost 10kg (22lb). However, I’m now back to 80 something… I will start the diet today with the bike, a goal is 62kg but for now an interim target is 75kg (165.4lb).

ウエラ 目覚まし時計 / Wehrle Alarm Clock

ドイツ・ウエラ社の目覚まし時計です。購入したのは大分前になります。3 in 1(スリー・イン・ワン)というモデルが有名なようですが既に廃番になっており、これは温度計、湿度計、気圧計が加わった6 in １(シックス・イン・ワン) というモデルになります。

Alarm clock made by Germany clock maker Wehrle. I bought this one long time ago, a model “3 in 1” is the most famous alarm clock but it’s been no longer available. This is the newest model “6 in 1” included functions: alarm, thermometer, hygrometer, and barometer.

目覚し時計なのにベル無し。これはボディー全体がベルになっている為です。
There are no bells being on the clock because body shell itself is the bell.


所有するウエラの時計をもう一つ。革ケースに収納されたブラスボディケースのトラベルクロックです。小さいながらも、所有感は抜群ですね。

One more a clock from Wehrl, a travel clock with lather case, It's a good design and a fine time piece.

モーフィーリチャーズ マンハッタンケトル / Manhattan Kettle from Morphy Richards

海外にて5年近く暮らしてましたが、生活家電の中で『これは便利だな～』と思ったモノが結構ありました。たとえば、台所などの水回り下にビルトインされているドラム式洗濯機。日本では洗濯機と言えばお風呂やトイレの近くに洗濯機用の台があったり、ベランダだったりしますが、台所下にビルトインされてると目立たず場所も取らずスッキリします。でも、一番気に入ったのは電気ケトルです。コーヒーを飲む時、カップラーメンを食べる時などお湯を沸かす時に、水を入れてスイッチを入れると、あっという間に沸きます。特に海外は電圧200vの地域が多いので余計に早く感じます。日本では電気保温ポットが一般的ですが、お湯を使わない時は電気を消費するだけで不経済ですよね。

I had been out of Japan around 5 yeaｒｓ. During this period, I found useful electric stuffs which are not major ones in Japan, i.e. built-in front loading washing machine. A washing machine, top loading style, is usually put near a bathroom, or a veranda in Japanese houses, but a built-in type needs small space below a kitchen, and has a neat figure. I also like an electric kettle. It's an often used staff to make boiled water quickly. An electric water boiler (like this one) is popular one in Japan, but this water boiler should consume electricity during its running to keep warm, it's waste to me.

という事で、これは英国の老舗家電メーカー、モーフィーリチャーズ社製の電気ケトル、マンハッタン ケトルです。ティファールやフィリップスの電気ケトルはよく見ますけど、ここまでのデザインの物はなかなか無いですね。スイッチを入れると水のレベルゲージの部分が青く光ります。光沢のあるボディーもなかなか。

This electric kettle "Manhattan Kettle" is made by Morphy Richards from the UK. DeLonghi, Tefal, or Phillips are major brands for electric kettles but the Manhattan Kettle doesn't like such brabnds' designs. The blue LED lights a water level gauge during the kettle is running.

同じマンハッタンシリーズでトースターもあります。しかし僕はあんまりパンを食べないので不要かな。

愛人の殺害を撮影（原文）
ロイター北京発によると、19歳の女子学生が、愛人の既婚男性の殺害および死体切断現場を撮影していたと、地元メディアが報じた。しかも、殺害したのはその女子学生のボーイフレンドだったという。雲南省南西部に住むその女子学生とそのボーイフレンドおよび共謀の男は、先月（2007年12月）の事件発生後、全員逮捕された。被害者の39歳の既婚男性は、地元の建設会社の部長だった。

報道によると、殺害され100以上にバラバラにされる被害者が撮影された。女子学生は北京の貧困家庭の出身で、被害者とはホステスとして働いていたナイトクラブ で知り合ったという。『バラバラ殺人の目的は、女子学生の被害者に対する憎しみと同時に、被害者の身元を隠す為』とローカルメディアは報じている。

Woman filmed killing of lover (Source）
BEIJING - A 19-year-old Chinese student recorded the killing and dismembering of her married lover by her boyfriend, local media said on Friday.

The second-year student in the southwestern province of Yunnan, her boyfriend and another male accomplice had all been arrested after the killing last month, the Southern Metropolis Daily said.

The victim, 39, was a married manager at a local highway and bridge building company, the newspaper said.

The girl, who was from a struggling family in the capital Beijing and met the victim as a nightclub hostess, filmed as he was killed and his body was cut into "hundreds of pieces," the newspaper said.

"The dismembering was both out of hatred and aimed at making the body unrecognisable," the report said.
